Six graduates from the College of Architecture (COA) successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Architects (LEA) held on June 11 and 13, 2024.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that Kristel Cate E. Edejer, Christine Jean G. Sauler, Jessa May L. Santos, Denneth E. Sicat, Jan Marcus G. Ver, and Yazer F. Waje from Columban College were among the 2,094 passers, representing 62.14 percent of the 3,370 examinees.
Batch 2021 graduate Denneth Sicat described his achievement as a culmination of dedicated study and preparation.
"It's often a moment of validation for all the hard work and effort put into preparing for the exam, and feel a sense of gratitude and humility, realizing the support that I received from my loved ones during my journey," Sicat said.
He emphasized the importance of gathering study materials, creating a study plan, studying the syllabus, and seeking clarification from mentors or peers on challenging topics.
He also stressed the need to manage stress to stay mentally and physically fit during the preparation and examination period.
For aspiring architects, Sicat advised mastering the basics, gaining practical experience through internships and apprenticeships, and embracing technology to become proficient in relevant software.
Louie Nathaniel Pascual Kiu from De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde achieved the highest score in the exams with a rating of 83.80%.
The PRC will announce the date for the mass oathtaking ceremony for the passers soon.
